New York Hotdog & Coffee
4.0
Hot dogs, coffee, yogurt, smoothies, and waffles. If only West Village spot New York Hotdog & Coffee offered tapas and employed a master mixologist, they'd have the entire NY food trend spectrum covered. Mixing Korean- and American-style tube steaks with a steaming cup of Van Houtte brand joe may seem revolutionary to us, but the concept's already spawned over 170 locations in South Korea alone. The first New York branch offers specialties like the bulgogi hotdog (with Korean-style marinated beef) and the dak-kalbi dog—grilled chicken sausage topped with spicy marinated chicken. For those with less adventurous taste buds, waffles, sundaes, fro-yo and pastries can be enjoyed in the modern, spare front seating area or in the comfy Wi-Fi-equiped rear lounge (bubbly manager Sandy Choi urges you to “bring your laptop! Hang out!”).
