Went to Pranna last night with a group of friends. Loved every bit. I had read lot of reviews so I wanted to go check it out. Enjoyed everything from atmosphere to food.
Satays, cocktails, wines and dinner was absolutely to die for. Stayed for about 5 hours.
Started with the lounge and moved into dining room and also stayed for after dinner cocktails. Had the twilight on Madison, dragonfly and had about four bottles of wine. They had a DJ spinning after 9pm and the music was very good. Definately recommend it
for large groups and everyhting is shareable. I am definately going back next week.

I had a birthday party for my friend's 40th at Pranna. The food and cocktails were delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. We reserved the horizon lounge and suite and part of the satay lounge. We were there till 2am and we all had agreat time. I will definately have many mote parties there.

We went to Pranna with a large group of 20 people. The food, service and cocktails were absolutely fantastic. The prices in this economy were so affordable that it will not break the bank. We paid less then $40 per person for two cocktails and several satays and small bites. Definately a great place for large groups with cosy seating in the plush banquettes. I am definately going back with more people and this is on my list of top restuarants to go to.

Great place and great food. Amazing cocktails. Went there Friday night with 8 people. Sat in the lounge and had the Sate's then proceeded to dinner. The food is authentic and delicious. The flavors are right on. I will definately go back and spread the word. Gorgeous decor as well.

Nothing special about this place. For a chef that claims to have traveled Asia, the food is tasteless. Decor is cheap looking, music is too loud, and light is nowhere to be found.

I went to one of the Family/Friends dinners this past weekend that Pranna was offering. It's a great space (minus the absolutley hideous chandeleers that they put in that look like a mix of cheap disco and 70s bathroom... ugh). The food was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. The flavor was mostly from the dipping sauces and not the actual food, which is a bit disappointing. The service was ok, but everyone seemed really tired for some reason.
They have a great lounge area, and as long as they don't start playing the gay club music that NY is known for, that place should make bank. I'd never eat in the dining room though, it looks like a hotel restaurant.
A few good things though, everyone was really nice, the prices on the menu were fair, and the artwork on the walls was beautiful. The location is very convenient as well.
If this restaurant were anywhere but NY, it'd get a worse review, but being that NY's dining overall isn't that great, Pranna will probably get to stay near the top. I don't know if I'd go back, or recommend it, but if someone asked me if they should go, I probably wouldn't say no.
