How is this spot different from the other Bar Italia on the Upper East Side? Well, it's actually not so different. The Italian menu options are pretty similar, and the vibe caters to a well-heeled crowd that is really just looking to relax while they enjoy quality fare and some vino. One thing this place has going for it is the vegan-friendly options; those who don't want to eat animal products will enjoy these healthy menu items, as will those with a gluten allergy, since the restaurant also has made an effort to include a number of gluten-free options. Though the spot is certainly casual, it's really more of a rumpled-khakis-and-loafers than jeans sort of place.
