Right next door to the celeb hangout Da Silvano, Bar Pitti's casual atmosphere draws its own crowd of the plugged-in. Inside, there are tiled floors, rosy-colored walls, and plain wooden tables. Outside, the sidewalk cafe is set well off the street, so you're not inhaling car exhaust.
The Tuscan food is simply prepared, from fish dishes cooked with lemon and herbs to a grilled chicken to a spicy penne arabbiata. Desserts keep things simple, too, with cooling gelatos, sorbets, and a shot of extra-strong espresso served over vanilla-scented granita.
