Barolo is your fairly standard high-end SoHo Italian establishment. Beautiful outdoor seating with plenty of space, an extensive wine cellar and experienced sommelier give it its upscale character. The food is excellent but somewhat lacking in originality. Chef Maurizio Marfoglia was chef to the Italian ambassador to the UN.
