The brainchild of Stefano Carniato and his brother Dante, the first Piola opened in the late 80s in Treviso, Italy and has since become a phenomenon throughout Italy and South America. The deco atmosphere evokes the celebratory energy of Brazil with its kicky, brightly colored seats and suspended murano glass lights. The boldly painted walls – fuchsia, red, purple and blue - serve as a showcase for the work of artists and photographers. With 60 authentic Italian brick ovens, diners can choose from a variety of pizza, each highlighting the taste of Italy fused with an international bravado and served by a staff that are as hip as they are warm.
