Not since Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing" has a Bed-Stuy pizza shop gotten so much attention. Owners Edoardo Mantelli and Massimiliano Nanni are turning out serious Neapolitan pies from their L.A.-made Earthstone wood-burning oven, with plans to expand the menu soon. Nanni describes their intention to add rotating homemade pastas and a few entrees as conjuring "a small place in Italy with Mama in the kitchen," where whatever's fresh that day will make its way onto the menu. For now it's exclusively 12-inch pies with simple toppings like proscuitto and mushrooms, a market salad and cheese and salumi samplers being served in the Brooklyn-hip dining room.
