Parts of the menu are scrawled in Japanese, and the waitstaff can’t help because some of them don’t speak English. That said, expect that when you enter this traditional Tokyo spot and slide into a hidden wooden booth or at the communal table, your authentic, intimate meal—grilled chicken meatballs on the robata, sushi, a rare tuna collar—will be fluently fine.
