Chef-partner Allan Feldman may have had the pedigree, having worked at upscale eateries La Grenouille and Veritas, but as this latest partnership with three of his childhood friends from Mexico City goes to show, sometimes all you need’s a little help from your friends. Considering this is a cevicheria, there’s plenty of the citrus-marinated seafood from red snapper to octopus, but also Argentine-style empanadas, hearty soups, a raw bar of oysters and clams plus caramel flan and tres leches cake for dessert. The tables are tiny, but to compensate the South American wine and Mexican brew list is not.
