For some diners, going out for Mexican means a night of cheap cervezas, greasy tortilla chips and $2 tacos. For others (see the Dos Caminos crowd), it means top-shelf margaritas, mirrored walls, a back-lit bar and Page 6 sightings. If you fit into the latter camp, then Mañana is for you. This upscale Mexican joint from the folks behind nearby Serafina offers hoity-toity fare that can scratch that south-of-the-border itch as well as a downscale fish taco. Chef Omar Luna hails from Mexico City and his high-meets-low cuisine melds his cultural roots with some tricks he picked up during his Gramercy Tavern stint. Dishes like snow crab, mango and hearts of palm tostadas may not bring back memories of your off-the-beaten path spring break adventures, but they thankfully won't bring back that bad case of Montezuma's revenge you suffered through either.
