Some of the city's most inventive Mexican food is served in this pretty Upper East Side restaurant. Well-prepared standbys like guacamole, chile relleno, and chicken tamales show up on the menu, as well as some more daring choices (wild mushroom strudel). It's a festive space, both in appearance (notice the abundance of antique chests and colorful masks) and an increasingly happy one as well (notice you ordered a third fruity margarita).
