Small plates abound at this stylish, tin-ceilinged Italian tapas restaurant/bar. Co-chefs and owners Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo have lovingly recreated a Lower East Side version of their Carroll Gardens original. Their first-come, first-serve policy keeps the waitlist long and the demand high. Fortunately, the food is worth it: a veritable mixed bag of Italian meets, cheeses, vegetable antipasti and crostini are yours for the choosing. Diners can opt for the slightly larger portions of sandwiches and pastas, but really, it's more fun to sample a little bit of everything.
