Stinky Bklyn’s Cheese-Eating Contest

The stinky skinny on Smith’s Street’s annual cheese-o-rama

Now in its third year, and bigger and stinkier than ever, the annual Stink Fest—brought to you by the power trifecta of Stinky Bklyn, Smith & Vine and the JakeWalk—took up outdoor real estate on Sunday on Smith Street in front of Smith & Vine. It offered massive amounts of food, wine, beer, live music and, of course, the fest's centerpiece: the yearly dairy-massacre that is the Stinky Bklyn Cheese-Eating Contest.

This year's challenge: as much Cantalet as you can handle in two minutes. The winner was a familiar face: veteran competitive eater Will Millender, who defended his title as last year's winner by acing two rounds of heats and ultimately scarfing down 10.3 ounces. Nope, there wasn't any cash prize, but hey—at least he's got the smelliest title in all of NYC.
