You’ve tried out for “Hell’s Kitchen” and “The Next Food Network Star.” How do the tryouts differ?
“The Next Food Network Star” is deeply involved with personality and was looking for me to pitch a new show to them. If you ask me, “Hell’s Kitchen” was looking for short-order cooks. There were a lot of really talented chefs at the tryouts and none of them made it on the show.
How far did you make it?
Third round for “Next Food Network Star” and second round for “Hell’s Kitchen.” Seeing how the Food Network is doing, I don’t think I am going to try out again. “Top Chef” seems to be the best fit.
