Make no mistake: hip twentysomethings go to Butter to be seen first, then to eat. While the menu—featuring several seafood entrees (lobster salad, grilled halibut) and some tasty desserts (messily decadent raspberry beignets)—is perfectly serviceable, it's the possibility of spotting Ms. Lohan (though maybe not quite as much these days) or Diddy that draws the bouncer-worthy lines. The gorgeous, cedar-inspired interior doesn't hurt either. If you're lucky enough to gain entry, sit in the Great Room, flooded with warm light and beautiful back-lit birches or party in the downstairs lounge. The popular Monday night parties are still in full swing, although the crowd isn't quite as illustrious it used to be.
