Veniero's Pasticceria, just a block away on East 11th, might be more conducive to romance, but De Robertis arguably makes the best cannolis and cakes around. The display cases have the fantastic quality of an overstocked gem store, but not everything is expensive. There are daily specials, a bad sign for dieters and a good thing for the chronically indecisive.
