Sam's Restaurant

For a taste of old New York Italian style, Sam's (established in 1930s) is it. The decor and the waiters are dated accordingly, but the dishes are timeless. (Ask for Louie, he's got a story or four to tell). Not only is it in the running for Brooklyn's best pizza, as advertised in the window, it boasts steak and chops too. But stick with the pizza. Word on the street is that Mark Iacono, of Lucali fame, learned to make his pie at this Court St. location.
