Sur Empanadas

This small Sunnyside empanada joint is takeout-only (although the clerk reassures us that tables, chairs, decor and a counter are on the way), so for now their very-Americanized selection of stuffed pastries must be enjoyed elsewhere. However, there's plenty to pick from, including easy blends like ham and cheese, and pizza and beef, or go gourmet with fancier fare like gallega (tuna, onion, pepper, green olive and egg) or chorizo (Argentinean sausage, potatoes, onions and bell pepper) concoctions. And for morning meals, breakfast empanadas are available until noon.
