The Sunburnt Cow is an Australian bar and snack shop serving authentic Aussie beers (think Boags not Fosters) on Avenue C in the East Village. (SC was one of the hood’s pioneering establishments). The friendly bartenders and waiters, who all sorta look like slightly bloated ex-surfers, serve up the regional grub like kangaroo sausage and, yes, bbq shrimp. For a more seafood-leaning Aussie menu, head to the sister restaurant Bondi Road on Rivington Street.
