ZuZu Ramen

The god of ramen—who is not to be confused with Rama, the Hindu deity—is finally smiling on the Slope. Courtesy of Martine Laford and Jason Crew, owners of the baa-worthy gastropub Sheep Station, ZuZu is an orgy of noodles. Its star offering on a modest menu—green curry miso ramen—is an aphrodisiacal, ga-ga stand-out with a Thai twist, sporting a soft egg, heaping veggies and a broad shaft of seaweed resembing the sail of a ship. Some items were beta-tested at Sheep Station, Crew confides, while others were devised for the storefront site itself. Those with natural noses for noodles will find some of their favorites here, like tonkotsu ramen, but there are some meaty rice dishes, too, for whenever you need a starch attack.
