Pies-n-Thighs

Hey kids, gather 'round and we'll tell you a story about a time not so long ago, when New York diners with unlimited expense accounts traded rumors about new Kobe steak menus and dinner began with towering mounds of oysters and lobster claws on ice. Fast-forward three years and we're all waiting on pins and needles for the newest 'cue joints, sandwich shops and fried chicken purveyors to open their doors. Ever since closing their ramshackle Williamsburg comfort food spot two years ago, the Pies-n-Thighs team has been promising a rebirth, and the time has come. The new space—it'll remind you of your favorite greasy-spoon breakfast place from your college town—has a bit more room to spread your wings (or drumsticks), but the menu still promises a plethora of delights from the land of saturated fat. Fried chicken, biscuits, mac-and-cheese, pulled pork, grilled cheese, hush puppies and more all under one roof (or, come spring, one roof and an outdoor seating area). Oh, and did we forget pie? Probably best to leave that part out at your next cardiologist's appointment.
