You're a regular at that place right between Rock Center and Grand Central. What's it called? Pret A Manger? We know—great tuna sandwich on wheat—but it's time to start doing dinner right. Fortunately, there's a quiet spot just off the hustle of 5th Ave where you can have a sazerac at the alder wood bar and then retreat back to the dining room or mezzanine level for a proper meal. Proper looks like this: seared diver scallops; tuna and hamachi crudo; cheeses, charcuterie, oysters; ricotta gnudi topped with black truffle and parmesan, pappardelle with wild mushrooms; and a bone-in ribeye served with bordelaise sauce and frites. Keeping with established standards of decency, you'd also order a glass of wine or one of 1000 bottles kept in a case on the mezzanine wall. And it's only lunch time.
