Emma Hearst of Sorella wins the audience choice award
Culinary trade organization StarChefs held its sixth annual New York Rising Stars Revue awards ceremony at the Maritime Parc to honor over 15 of the city's "rising talents." (See our coverage in 2007, 2008 and 2009). We're big fans of this program—unlike other awards that tend to retread year after year, Rising Stars winners are usually relative unknowns. Well, not to us. We've been pulling for Emma Hearst (Sorella), Marc Forgione (Marc Forgione), Bobby Hellen (Resto) and Brad Farran (Clover Club) for some time. Nice picks StarChefs! They were joined by Justin Bogle (Gilt), Jason Hall (Gotham Bar & Grill), Brandon Kida (Asiate), Dan Kluger (ABC Kitchen) and others.
