Supporting the fight for hunger with the help of NYC’s top toques. And Miss Universe!
More than 30 top chefs from around the city gathered on Tuesday night in Chelsea for the annual City Harvest Summer in the City benefit, where they cooked up first-rate samples to raise money for the city’s hungry in need—and to impress guests with their culinary creations. The event featured walk-around tastings, a silent auction, cocktail demons...and karaoke! You know it’s a good cause when Miss Universe shows up to give her support—no more sitting back wishing for world peace.
The event benefitted City Harvest’s Generation Harvest group, an organization that delivers millions of pounds of excess food to hungry New Yorkers every year. And it wasn’t hard to get excited about this cause, with chefs like Chris Santos, Marc Murphy and Ron Ben-Israel and others lending their star power.
