New York City Wine & Food Festival 2011 | Food Network presents Rock & Bowl with Anne Burrell
Rock star chef Anne Burrell packed the Lucky Strike Times Square lanes last night for Rock & Bowl," one of the New York City Wine & Food Festival's first events of 2011. The Food Network star served hungry revelers a tasting menu from her new book, "Cook Like a Rock Star," which included sausage and pancetta stuffed mushrooms, hard polenta cakes with taleggio and cherry tomatoes, and white bean purée with prosciutto on toasted bread. Lucky Strike's own Bill Starbuck mixed in mini-truffle cheese burgers, zesty jerk chicken skewers and for dessert mini lemon ricotta cream with raspberry compote topped with tiny pastry twists for a night of true bowling binge. And thanks to the full bar, the crowd was lively and rolling well past midnight.
