Booty-shaking go-go dancers, Katy Perry on repeat, and sugar-crazed dessert fanatics made for the campy and decadent scene at this year’s SWEET tasting, as part of the third NYC Wine & Food Festival.
While throngs of hungry dessert enthusiasts flooded the hallways, an equally alarming contingent of Guy Fieri and Duff Goldman groupies were a major presence as well, elbowing their way to the Food Network celebs with hopes of a possible camera phone close-up.
An impressive array of restaurants were on site to show off their finest offerings, many of which featuring the sponsored ingredients, Godiva chocolate and cranberries. In the end, Clinton Street Baking Company snagged the People’s Choice Award for best dessert with their pear upside-down cake. But other strong showings were made by Adour, Le Bernardin, Jean-Georges, and Daniel, among others. MORE PHOTOS
