Tonnie's Minis
Chocolate lovers and sweet tooths flocked to 82 Mercer last night for Godiva Chocolatier's sold-out fifth annual desserts extravaganza SWEET, part of the New York Wine & Food Festival. Patrons took shelter from the rain with comforting flavors from 60 after-dinner artisans and event sponsors, with perennial host Sandra Lee. Three vast rooms featured a nearly limitless array of delicacies from the dessert world's brightest stars, including Kyotofu's Michelle Park, db Bistro Moderne's Ashley Brauze, and Doughnut Plant's Mark Isreal (who took first prize). The icing on the cake of all of this endless indulgence? Attendees filled their hearts as well as mouths, with proceeds benefitting Food Bank for New York City and Share Our Strength.
