We'll color it a wise move for the TSQ proprietors when they decided to shutter beleaguered tourist trap Maxie's Delicatessen to open this bi-level brasserie and sushi bar in Times Square (hence the acronym for the name). If you're not in beardy Brooklyn, delis are essentially dead. The 200-seat restaurant-lounge is basically open 24-7 (only shuttering for three hours a day) and serves standards like steak and seafood, along with breakfast and late-night bar snacks. There are TVs in the upstairs bar area for happy-hour sports viewing. The chef, Victor Laplaca, is a 12-year Todd English vet.
