If the quaint Thai eatery now occupying a slip of a Chelsea storefront rings a bell, that’s because Rin stands where the ultra-cool Burgers & Cupcakes once sizzled. According to the waitstaff, the goal here isn’t to reinvent Thai cooking so much as instill a have-it-your-way attitude among the customers. So call it Thai Fun Fusion (or My Fun Fusion) with all the usual menu items, from Thai curries to sauces on fish, but with the option to really modulate spices and heat up or down to float or flatten your taste buds. There’s a hopping bar and a most sagacious looking Buddha off the entrance to get you in the Zen.
