North End Grill

Those who've mourned the loss of chef Floyd Cardoz and Danny Meyer's Tabla can now rejoice, as the "Top Chef Masters" competitor and the man who's taking over Manhattan one Shackburger at a time are once again collaborating. This time, they've teamed up to open a Battery Park City restaurant styled after the Union Square Cafe. Just a hop, skip, and jump from the Murray Street Shake Shack and soon-to-open Blue Smoke, North End Grill occupies a slice of the neighborhood that's quickly turning from residential wasteland into a corporate wonderland. Joining the Goldman Sachs headquarters and an in-the-works Conrad hotel (the creme de la creme of the Hilton line), North End Grill aims to serve the briefcase-carrying neighborhood with a seafood-centric menu and a bar stocked with a 100 plus scotch selection (in addition to beer, wine, and a full bar) that's sure to fill up at 6 p.m. with tie loosening types.
