I went here a few times a few months ago. I was home sick for my local BBQ and some Tennessee music. This place wasn't exactly like home but for New York it was good. If you can catch it when not so busy it's even better. It seems crowds or parties can weigh down the kitchen and service can be slow. But it's also a place for entertainment and not just food. Good BBQ and drinks on uncrowded days. I liked the New York energy in a place that typically looks like it belongs back home. Brigitte Grisanti New York and Tennessee BBQ Foodie!!

The prepared dishes in the pictures are true art. There is not one that doesn't look delicious and inviting. I'm from Tennessee and travel to New York on business frequently. This is the first time I noticed this site and I love it so far. So much to take in and to help out with getting to know New York food even better. I'll be a new visitor. Thanks from Brigitte Grisanti New York Foodie with a home down love from Tennessee!!

The 5 grain salad with Kale..awesome! The Halibut..the best I have yet had! Really! The Hashed Brussels sprouts really unique and well perfect. My guest had the tasting menu with a sub for the meat dish. Everything was amazing!! Highly recommend this new restaurant.

Tables are too close together and small. Service was slow. Flatbread with mushrooms was really good though.

I attended an event last Thursday night (Jan 24 2013) at 583 Park Avenue. My Brooks Brothers overcoat was terribly damaged and soiled by their coat check. I reported the damage immediately upon receiving my coat and the Manager took responsibility for the damage and told me that he would be in touch to repair and clean. I never heard back and after several calls to 583 Park Avenue I received the following email I am sorry, but at this time I cannot offer any more assistance to this matter. An internal investigation has been made by the owner and he has not produced any evidence that the coat was damaged in any way here at 583 Park Avenue. We will not be able to pay for the repair for the coat. I apologize again, but this has been the final decision on this. Please take my advice and look elsewhere when deciding on a venue for your special event. This is not a reputable business.

Me and 2 girlfriends went at 8pm, picked randomly from my "MixList", and WHOA! One of the best Pad Thai I've had in NYC (get with the Coconut Rice), and they had some Pumpkin Curry thingy... what ever it was, DELICIOUS. Strong Thai Ice Tea (soooo good), and (not a fan of Mushroom) Mushroom Spring Rolls... large & delicious. In short, Go.

Sixteen years ago when I was pregnant with my first child, Brown Betty was the only food I would eat. I lived right around the corner and no matter how cold it was during those Winter months I made sure I had the 2 piece chicken breast, wing with fries and their tangy, spicy hot sauce. Will never forget it. If ever you go back be sure to sample that! It was delicious and I'm sure that it still is. Natasha

Got coupon from Gilt to Zoe for $59.50 for 5 course tasting menu for two. Drinks: sake x 2. Course 1: HALF egg with some weird salty sauce on top. Course 2: a small toast with pulled beef or veal with some mustard. Course 3: radicchio salad ( bitter cut up leaves) WTF?? We both returned the dish...never got replacement, even though we said it was bitter. Course 3: broiled fish. The only descent one, however no entree with it, only few pieces of marinated grapes. Course 5: dessert. Can I call it that?? Strawberry shortcake wannabe. A big mess. The waiter Nick could use a few lessons on how to be friendly and smile ( esp how to be kid friendly.) Ordered plain pasta for one child and hamburger ($17) with FF for the other and a coctail for $12. The bill was $31.57 plus $59.50 that i prepaid. gratuity was based on full price: $36.80. Decor: plain and boring. Bottom line: came home hungry and less than satisfied with this night family outing. Very disappointing!
