Bona Fides

Bonafides is a cozy Italian restaurant with an emphasis on inexpensive, traditional dishes. The outdoor patio features flowers, ferns and various other plants around the small wooden tables and chairs; inside, it's a quieter affair, with just 34 seats. Food-wise, it's the basics (rigatoni, antipasto, veal, etc.) in an affordable range ($9-15) reflecting the venue's early days in the East Village, before gentrification. An additional room, "The Bacchus Room," is avalable for larger or private parties and features occasional jazz performances.
