Il Mulino
5.0
- Neighborhood: Greenwich Village
- 86 W. Third St.
- New York, NY 10012
- 212-673-3783
Plates of food seem to magically arrive from the hands of ancient waiters, the portions are huge and famously garlicky, and regulars know to pace themselves and order off-the-menu at this old-school Greenwich Village restaurant, inspired by cuisine from the mountainous region of Abruzzo. Il Mulino has been drawing devotees for 27 years, and the buzzy, insider crowd (of the grown-up sort—this is not the Beatrice Inn) makes it difficult to score a seat; reservations are much easier to come by at lunch.
