Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, a boutique-like thrift store, is well known for being the beneficiary of luxurious donations of designer bits and pieces. As you walk past the discombobulated array of fascinating antiques, books, artwork and home furnishings, you will come across a tiny, shoe-box-sized room complete with racks brimming of high-end vintage clothing. Givenchy dresses, Chanel suits and Carolina Herrera eveningwear are presented alongside a large collection of various men's and women's clothing and accessories. Although, the prices are slightly higher than the average thrift shop, they are still priced lower than most vintage stores and all donated to an important cause. This charity shop is dedicated to promoting the well being of patients, supporting cancer research and providing public education on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.
