Fashion Week: Day three
When your day involves a former “Project Runway" contestant, Brazilian swimsuit models and an after-party with promised “buckets of booze,” you know it's going to be a long day. Armed with a giant cup of coffee, we ventured over to the Prince George's Ballroom to find out if success had found "Project Runway" contestant Alison Kelly.

Kelly's Dahl label opened Nolcha Fashion Week. Designed to help promote young designers, Nolcha not only previews their collections, but also organizes seminars that help educate those wanting to break into the industry. Sundresses dominated Kelly's collection. Yes, they're flirty, but we wished the color palette was more varied. Maybe it was time for our second cup of coffee.

Later in the day, we swung by the Gottex show. Models from the September issue of Vanity Fair paraded down wearing the bathing suits this Israeli label has become known for. We found the prints and shapes fun, but we just hope that the neon-and-wire headpieces that graced the models don't start a new trend in beach fashion.

An hour of staring at beautiful bathing-suit models left us in desperate need of hard liquor. Enter Alexander Wang’s after-party. Hosted by model Erin Wasson, in a “divinely marvelous out of the way space” on the West Side, this soiree attracted a chic, young crowd, notably a done-up Mischa Barton. A few vodkas later, the Grey’s Papaya on the corner was calling our name. It was a tough call: stay at this clublike scene with free drinks or grab a hot dog? Considering we still have several more days of Fashion Week, we opted for the latter.
