Mandate of Heaven

With their playsuits, flirty dresses and flowy blouses, Mandate of Heaven’s lookbook evokes a mysterious slumber-party vibe. Designer and owner Carissa Ackerman created her first collection in 2001 while she and then partner Nick Olsen were freshmen in college (she at NYU; he at Columbia). For their latest collection, Mandate of Heaven has decided to include a small line of custom jeans and limited-edition T-shirts with illustrations by artist Ariel Chriqui.
