Harriet's Alter Ego

Eight years ago, owners Hekima Hapa and Ngozi Odita used to hit the street-festival circuit on weekends to sell their Harriet's Alter Ego label. Now, their colorful creations can be purchased at their Prospect Heights boutique, which hosts frequent fashion shows, art exhibits and garden parties. For summer, the label's hot item is a Flounce dress that can be easily dressed up or down.
