I booked an appointment for a Friday night at Bunya CitiSpa when i was visiting NYC for the weekend. I learned about them on the Spaweek website. I took advantage of the $50 thai massage special. I was staying in a hostel for th weekend so I wanted to splurge on a spa treat.

When I arrived i was greeted and filled out my paperwork. I was really embarrassed because it was unusually hot for a new york fall and I felt kind of sweaty from my commute to soho.

I was so excited to be escorted into the locker room area where i was given a nice soft robe, shower shoes and there were beautiful showers and products so that i could relax before my treatment. i was allowed to lay down in the waiting area with my robe and help myself to healthy snacks and fruit infused ice water. There were flat screens in the waiting room, which doesn't seem condusive to total relaxation, but it was great all around.

The thai massage was great, I will go back, but i will probably get a lighter pressure massage the next time. What a great affordable place!
