'Boeing-Boeing'

Taking farcical comedy to new heights
Zany British sex farces like this can offer a comfy, retro sensibility
and this one's more cool and retro than most. Once the longest-running
comedy in London theater history, "Boeing-Boeing" is set in the golden
era of the mid-1960s, just after the miniskirt and just before women's
lib, when no girl was sexier than a stewardess. In fact, a swinging
businessman is juggling three at once out of his Paris bachelor pad,
with the help of his long-suffering housekeeper. You can expect more
confusion than an episode of "Three's Company."
The show stars
Bradley Whitford, Christine Baranski, Gina Gerson, Mary McCormack,
Kathryne Hahn and Mark Rylance, who won an Olivier Award for his turn
as the inevitable best friend in the London run.
