Studio 54

Neighborhood: Midtown West
245 W. 54th St.

New York, NY 10019
Built in 1927, this infamous New York City space has had many faces. Among them, the New Yorker Theatre in 1930, the Casino de Paris in 1933, the Palladium Theatre in 1936, and a CBS-owned radio and television station in the 1940s. But it wasn't until 1977 that the space gained worldwide recognition, when Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager transformed it into ledgendary nightclub Studio 54, a bastion of sex, drugs, glamour and disco. The club was shut down in 1979, re-opened in 1982, and was restored to its original form—a New York theater—in 1998. The Studio 54 Theatre is now the permanent home to the Roundabout Theater Company's productions

, the stunning theater is located in the same space that housed the legendary nightclub Studio 54.
