Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre

What Second City was to 1970's Chicago, Upright Citizens Brigade is to New York in the '00's. A proving ground for some of today's best comedic actors, the UCB Theatre is a place where you can catch novices cutting their teeth, as well as the occasional SNL / Conan O'Brien / Comedy Central star looking to sharpen his or her craft. That doesn't mean that you're going to run into Amy Poehler on any given night (then again, you might - she was one of the founders, after all), but whatever you're going to see is bound to make you laugh. If you're looking for a fun, original spot for a date, look no further - the average show is half the price of the average movie (at least) and, given the state of modern cinema, twice as much fun (at least).
