Dawson's Creek

College didn't just ruin "Dawson's Creek," it rendered the star completely useless. Any hope for a blissful union between Dawson and Joey seemed dashed early in the series when she warmed to troubled Pacey, but at least the melodrama of high school left the door open. When the rest of the creek kids left for college in Boston, Dawson spent most of his time in Los Angeles, and his brief trips back and ensuing hookups with Joey were forced and yucky. We're still bitter he wasn't the character that got killed off in the series finale.
