He was lost before 'Lost' was 'Lost'

Before "Survivor," before "Lost," even before "Swiss Family Robinson" (yes, there was a time before "Swiss Family Robinson"), there was Robinson Crusoe. In Daniel Defoe's classic novel we always meant to read, castaway Crusoe shipwrecks on a deserted island with only his sidekick, Friday, and bands of aggressive cannibals to keep him company for the next three decades. Too bad Wilson volleyballs weren't available in the 17th century.
