Summer Movies

Here's a short list of movies I want to see this summer. Not necessarily the best movies of the summer, but the ones I'm most interested in.

    Star Trek

    Star Trek - 5

OK, I know this isn't really a new one, but I still haven't seen it. Apparently it's really good. I was always more of a Star Wars kid, but this looks interesting.

    Up

    Up - 5

I'm a sucker for Pixar movies. Kung Fu Panda was my favorite movie of last summer. Yeah, I said it.

    Terminator Salvation

    Terminator Salvation - 4

Christian Bale threw the world's biggest hissy-fit while filming this movie. That alone makes me want to see what all the fuss was about. I can't imagine Arnold took his Terminator roles as seriously as the Dark Knight did.

    The Hangover - 4 1/2

Initially, I thought this movie looked mad corny. All of the sudden it's the most buzzed-about comedy in the world. The Mike Tyson cameo alone would be enough for me to check it out, but I'm expecting big things now.

    Land of the Lost

Land of the Lost - 4

Despite overwhelming resports of how bad this movie sucks, I love the Ferrell-McBride tandem too much to pass it by. Their scenes in "Eastbound & Down" were priceless, I wonder how they'll fair in a summer blockbuster. OK, I may just wait for the DVD.

    The Taking of Pelham 123 - 4

Denzel is the man. Travolta looks creepy as hell. The plot seems a little stale, but the leading men should make an interesting on-screen duo.

    Year One

    Year One - 4 1/2

Again, Michael Cera is type-casted to death. Luckily he is really good at the awkward, sensitive thing. The one-liners in the previews are pretty funny, and who doesn't like a summer comedy?

    Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 1 1/2

Easily the most anticipated movie of the summer. I was luke-warm on the first one. I'll see this one just to say I've seen it. Not expecting a lot. I like Shia LeBauf though.
