Best Brunches in Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill

My favorite brunches in the neighborhood, from the crazy crowded to the surprisingly relaxed.

524 Court St. - Brooklyn (Carroll Gardens)

The perfect brunch. Sunny, warm, comfy. Amazing scrambles and bloody marys. Super friendly staff.

Mexican brunch on the roofdeck, amazing views of the water and city. Make sure they're not charging you for what you THOUGHT were free coffee refills. Go for the tortas.

    Clover Club

    Clover Club - 4 1/2

    210 Smith St. - Brooklyn

Figured it'd be packed in here, but it's always been refreshingly easy to get a seat. Handsome, tasty food (NB, however: the prices are roughly the same as elsewhere in the nabe, but the portions are notably smaller). The cocktails are delicious--loved the gin Bloody Mary. I think it's called a Bloody Rooster?

Haven't been here in a while, but it's the only place with that many extras at such cheap prices. I think it's like $8.95 for mimosa/bottomless coffee/brunch dish? Or it was the last time I was there. You have to be OK with maybe being one of the only people in there. Great deal.

    Robin des Bois

    Robin des Bois - 3 1/2

    195 Smith St. - Brooklyn

Croque monsieur and madame are my favorites. Cozy and good for hangovers. The morning light does NOT serve the crumbly Virgin Mary statue well, however, but it's also kind of amazing.

    Frankies 457 Spuntino

    Frankies 457 Spuntino - 5

457 Court St. - Brooklyn (Carroll Gardens)

Never a misstep at Frankies. Super popular, but worth the wait. Brunch dishes don't come with a lot of extras, however (an "omelette" comes with and omelette and a handful of greens--no potatoes or anythying), but you can order delicious sides off the menu (bacon!).
